Cookie (Bulldog) 10" x 10" acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas
Cookie's legacy lives on:
"I was working at the SPCA when Cookie came in. She was 7 and a half. Nearly deaf and blind from untreated medical issues. Her teats dragged the ground from countless litters. She was Heartworm Positive. She had every parasite imaginable. Her owner surrendered when she was finished making puppie$.
I fell
in love with her instantly. I saw her through HW treatment, and brought her
home to be part of our family. We had 9 wonderful months with her before the
damage from her past caught up with her. She crossed the bridge on Christmas Eve
2007.
In her memory I began to rescue English Bulldogs. I have now rescued, rehabilitated and rehomed over a dozen of them in a year.
Her legacy will affect every Bulldog I will ever meet. I see her in all of them."
Here is the photo I worked from:
I would love to paint your dog. Be a part of my 2009 Faces of Love project. HERE are all the details.

Cookie's foster/savior is my BEST FRIEND and an inspiration to everyone who is in this crazy "business". I was the manager of the SPCA when Cookie came in, and resorted right to Fawn The painting is gorgeous; and as beautiful as Fawn's and Cookie's gentle souls!
