It has almost been 1 year since I adopted Mick. Mick is a giant Boston Terrier. I actually think there is a bit of American Staffordshire in him too. He is my crazy do. Every dog household needs at least 1 crazy dog. He loves to rip apart blankets and destroy the house. At the end of each day, I think the house often looks like a category 5 hurricane named Mick has passed through. I love him anyway. He has a really sweet and loving heart.
How Mick wound up at the shelter, I don't know, but they told us that his previous people knew he was at the shelter, and they didn't want him back. Happily, Mick has become a part of my pack. He is handsome guy & I loved immortalizing him on canvas.
I love painting dogs that mean so much to their people. I love hearing each dog story. I am honored by each painting that is commissioned. This holiday season, as I get busy with painting dogs for holiday gifts, I want to give something back to all the wonderful people who are out there rescuing, fostering & doing all they can for the millions of dogs out there needing help.
For every commissioned painting from now through Dec. 31, 2010, I will donate 10% to the animal shelter/rescue of your choice. If you would like to see more of my work & to read more about my commission process: visit my website Noisy Dog Studio or you can go here to purchase commissioned dog portrait. Please share with your dog loving friends & rescue groups.
